School Camping Tours - tailor-made or set itineraries for your next school camping adventure, Australia is waiting!.

EDTS will work with you every step of the way to ensure that your tour is packed full of learning opportunities,

educational content as well as some fun! We supply all your camping needs such as tents and sleeping mats, along with a Camp Kitchen and cook, to make sure your group is well fed and enjoys the adventure of a lifetime.

A sample itinerary for an 8 Day Central Australia Tour includes:

Day 1:        Depart school and head to Adelaide. Overnight bunkhouse accommodation.

 

Day 2:       Travel to Coober Pedy and enjoy a town tour and an Opal cutting demonstration. Overnight underground accommodation.

 

Day 3:       Continue north to Uluru for 2 nights camp.  Enjoy a visit to Sunset Strip.

 

Day 4:       Visit Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, explore the base of Uluru & view caves and rock paintings.  Also explore Kata Tjuta.

 

Day 5:       Travel to Watarrka National Park for 1 nights camp. Take the Kings Creek Walk, to enjoy a stunning view of the sheer Canyon walls.

 

Day 6:       Early morning Canyon walk including the Garden of Eden & the Lost City.  Travel to Alice Springs and set up for 2 nights camp. 

Day 7:       Visit Alice Springs Desert Park, Simpsons Gap, the Royal Flying Doctors Base and School of the Air.  

   

Day 8:        Free time before flying home to Melbourne and transfer back to school.

A sample itinerary for a 14 Day Northern Territory tour includes:

Day 1:        Depart school and express overnight to Coober Pedy.

 

Day 2:       Arrive in Coober Pedy, and enjoy a town tour and an Opal cutting demonstration. Overnight underground accommodation.

 

Day 3:       Continue north to Uluru for 2 nights camp.  Enjoy a visit to Sunset Strip.

 

Day 4:       Visit Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, explore the base of Uluru & view caves and rock paintings.  Also explore Kata Tjuta.

Day 8:       Travel to Daly Waters, stopping enroute at the Devils Marbles.

Day 9:       Continue north to Mataranka for a swim in the thermal pools. Overnight camp at Nitmiluk Gorge. 

Day 10:      Dawn cruise on the gorge. Head to Kakadu National Park, with a stop at Edith Falls for a swim. 2 nights camp in Jabiru. 

Day 11:      Sunrise Yellow Waters cruise, with visits to the Warradjan Cultural Centre, Nourlangie Rock and sunset at Ubirr Rock. 

Day 12:      Head to Litchfield National Park for a swim at Wangi and Florence Falls, before arriving in Darwin for 1 nights camp.

Day 13:     Darwin Military Museum, Museum of Art and Gallery of the NT, and free time. Evening visit to Mindil Beach Markets before heading to the Darwin Airport.

Day 14:    Early morning flight to Melbourne and transfer back to school.
